All in all a successful day. We had a play date with Sarah, and have been trying to get together FOREVER. It has never seemed to work out, but this time it did. Our kids are very close in age, and a it was a hit all around (I think). I made some knitting commitments, so bring on the snow so I can get started.
This vacation, and all the free time is a curse for Fin. As a result we scheduled all his days with activities to try to stave off the dysregulation (nice try on our part…NOT). Tonight was pizza and movie night, and he had been looking forward to it all week.
Fin has been wanting to watch Wall-e since the movie was released, and he finally received a copy for Xmas (Thank you Unkie N). Pizza gone, we settle on the couch with blankets, and sippies, and press play. As soon as the first scene opened, Little G started asking a billion and one questions.
“Where is Wall-e?”
“Who is that?”
“Where did they go? What are they doing? What is going to happen next?”
Over, and over next to her Fin is whisper/yelling:
“SSSHHHHHHH!”
To no avail. It was like our own Mystery Science Theater right here in Newton. On, and on she went, for the ENTIRE MOVIE! I don’t think she even inhaled.
Welcome to Girl-World. Isn’t it wonderful?
