After a long weekend of structure-free time a very dysregulated Fin was really struggling to keep it together.  Getting ready for bed he was going through all his clothes and admonishing me because there is a HUGE pile of laundy, and he could not find matching pj’s.

“Mama”, he says, “I know what I want for Christmas”.

“Oh? What’s that?”

“I want one piece pj’s, because that way I don’t have to look for a clean match.  I won’t be left with one clean piece, the whole thing will be dirty”.

The calm, cool demeanor in which he says these things always make me laugh.
