I am taking a gigantic leap into a new life. I quit my job.
I am going to mostly be a SAHM.
I am still in shock. I am going to hopefully still work part time, my job is really being fabulous about it. My job was very demanding, required lots of dedication, time, and travel. Hubby’s new job, and a re-evaluation of how much it was costing us for me to work, and child care, and just being with my kids. How much value each of those things really has for us as a family.
I get to pick Fin up from school every day, and drop him off, and talk to the school staff everyday.
And bug them about everything.
We are changing our lives, down to one car, eliminated down some of our debt, cut back on our bills, and we are almost where we were with 2 working parents. Nothing can out value how happy Fin is. How much he LOVES to be picked up from school. He used to walk such a tightrope all week, and Friday fall to pieces, and sometimes violent.
Now I can pick him up, walk home, and know by the time I get to the front door how his anxiety level is. A program that the town has I can participate, because I am around. A luxury some other parents don’t have. I am connecting with other parents of other ASD children.
I am doing stuff! Like:
and:
And I am LOVING it. I am thinking about opening an Etsy account, and I am making my mother also knit stuff to sell. So stay tuned. I hope that now my blog will be as much of a phoenix as I am. My husband is bearing the pressure coming down for a new look, and my plan is make my blog a part of my daily life once again.
