Changeling

It has been but a flash, a moment, a single breath, and a shift has occurred.  A shift that to the casual observer, today is no different than yesterday, yet, in my eyes is momentous.  My baby Girl is no longer.  She has moved into that place of "Little Girl", she herself takes every opportunity to correct me.The significant occurrence that has visually proven the shift is as follows:
Toes

Flip Flops, little girl toes curled to grip them like cement to her feet.
I can see small windows of what she will form into as all the stages of her growing develop, seemingly instant.
I have decided to take leave from my job for a few months.  My primary reason being that Fin is starting elementary school, we are moving, Hubby is living away from us 5 days a week, and all the transition is making my head spin.  I can't imagine how his coping mechanism is working.  I am going to take the time I am going to be with my children FULL TIME and drown in them.  Their smell, quirks, tantrums, favorite things, and frustrations.  And I am going to love it.

Good for you! I know you will have a blast. Time goes so quickly, I’m so glad that you’ll have some time to really soak it in.
