Slippery

The Girl has a fine head of or truly orange hair. It was peachy as a baby, and I think as it fills in that the color is softening to a more blond hue. It has a baby fine texture, and the whisps are growing longer, but not thickening in any way. Under no circumstances will I allow the beautiful locks to be trimmed. No Way. Because she is a girl I want to hold back her curling tendrils with teeny tiny cutsie barrett’s. I can’t, it is as futile as Sisyphus. Why you ask?

She has slippery hair.

It just will not hold a clip.

Hubby aptly describes:

“It’s like eating spaghetti with a spoon”.

Yet, I can not give up, over, and over I try.

Why can’t I stop?

My youngest son (Rylan) has the same color hair! It’s beautiful.

You can’t stop because you’re a mom, and she’s your girl! Alas, I have slippery hair too- could never do curling irons, as the curl would fall out before I left the house. Got a perm (in the 80’s), it fell out the next day. It’s a pain.

Try a little hair gel on the clip before trying to put it in her hair? Or peanut butter. You could stick clips to her head with peanut butter. She’d be cute, and tasty too! :)

P’nut butter head? My dog would love that! I have bone straight hair too, I just will never understand my friends who daily struggle to straighten their locks. Grass is always greener over…………..here.
