My Quirky Boy

Grumpies, grumpies everywhere. Poor Dooda, everyone in our house was grumpy yesterday. You would think because I made this:

That we would all be happy, but we were not. Hubby was sick, and not grumpy, and he was really the only one who had a right to be. I tried a science experiment of Avocado Frosting. We saw Alton Brown make it on TV and it looked awesome. It failed. The frosting had lumpy bits in it, since the season is kind of gone, it was kind of bug gut looking with brown, and green all mixed together, and it became a little separated. The taste wasn’t too bad, sweet and lemony. I just could not bring myself to frost a cake with it. Fin seemed to not care either way and his delight in the fact that there was “CAKE!” did not really seem to help his mood.

Daylight savings does a job on him, and last night he came in to our room at 4AM. Hubby took him back to bed, and at 5:30AM, hubby still in with him Fin ran out of his room, into bed with me, and covers over his head. Much to his chagrin he was dragged back to his bed, but not for long.

We had torrential rains yesterday and found rain coming into our house in places it should not, and never has before. The roofer is coming tomorrow hopefully to tell us a date when he can come. When spring arrives I hope the baby is walking so we can stick a paintbrush in her hands.

It appears that the dog has rebounded and I have made a resolution to him, and myself that I am going to take better care of him. I have been so diligent this week with his meds, his new food, and washing his paws with special shampoo to help keep the itch down. I even went out and bought him a new bed.
